Web development is not easy. You need a good server. You need bandwith. You need php. You need a mysql server. You need apache. You have to know html and css, some javascript and did I mention php. Then there’s something called perl. You might have to learn that too. And a million things can go wrong. A php update could screw up your application. Twenty cups of coffee later you’ll still have no clue what’s wrong with that .htaccess file. You checked the file permissions a hundred times but the application still won’t work. You tweak a configuration file. Just a bit. A wee bit more. Suddenly your web site goes tits up. You now realize the last backup is from 24h ago. That’s twenty four hours of work up in smoke. You’re now so frustrated you decide it’s easier to just start from the beginning. But in the end, you have a website up and running. Until the next upgrade comes along.
I’m glad Kristitty.net is finally ready.
